Titleist Performance Institute Golf Assessment Package
Our physiotherapist, Rob McMillan, has completed training through the Titleist Performance Institute and is certified to perform detailed golf mechanical assessments and treatments using the principles of physiotherapy.
This excellent package includes a detailed assessment of your swing mechanics, biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality AND an individual exercise program aimed at correcting specific movements. Learn how to prepare your body for an effortless swing this season and how efficient movement is the key to consistency and longevity. We’ll help identify physical limitations and dysfunctional movement patterns which may limit your performance!
The assessment is suitable for all levels of golfers.
Why is the Titleist Performance Institute at Easthill Physio?
We have seen too many injured golfers! We would rather prevent injuries and optimize your performance so that you can enjoy your golf season.
The role of a TPI Medical Professional is to:
- Identify physical limitations and dysfunctional movement patterns which may limit your performance
- Help return from injury or manage injuries that are limiting your play
- Rehab/Injury prevention such as individualized off-season programs, warm-ups
- Improve the consistency/efficiency of your swing
- Increase the longevity of your game
TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. We believe the most efficient way for each player to swing is based on what the player can physically do.
The most efficient swing is not the same for every golfer, because efficiency is unique to their body. To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. This screen involves an assessment of swing mechanics and biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health and a client history. All clients will be provided an individual exercise program aimed at correcting specific movements. Physiotherapy treatments may be recommended if there is an underlying injury or pain that needs to be addressed. We will also provide recommendations and communicate with any fitness or golf professional you are working with.
Who should get a TPI Golf Assessment?
The assessment is suitable for golfers of any age and skill level. Anyone who plays golf or would like to golf on a regular basis should have a comprehensive physical assessment.
When?
Any time of year is a good time to be assessed!
Pre-Season: to identify any limitations or compensations (bad habits), so you can start the season right!
Mid-Season: When things are in full swing.
Fall/Winter: An excellent time to focus on rehabilitating a nagging problem, or working on a customized home or gym program that we know will get you results
